They have often told us how happy they are to be able to create something meaningful with this work and earn a good living. As all work steps are carried out by hand, the production process generates hardly any greenhouse gas emissions. The process begins with hollowing out and shaping a round piece of wood to form the vase's lower half, creating a bowl-like base. The upper section is crafted by weaving thick rattan fibers, secured with fine strips of rattan bark. Finally, the entire vase is sprayed with a rich brown color.
